Isotope Production

Central Radiopharmaceutical Services Inc. (CRS)

CRS operates a 30 mEv Cyclotron, which in addition to the traditional PET tracers has the capability of irradiating solid targets. A separate target vault and beam line permit irradiation of targets at energies between 15 and 30 mEv at beam currents ranging from fractions of a microamp up to ca. 500 microamps. Some of the tracers that have been produced at our facility are In-111, 124I, 62Zn, 99Rh, 187Ir, 57Co, and 178W. The facilities are available for custom production of isotopes that might otherwise be unavailable or difficult to obtain elsewhere.
