SPM95 Processing Steps - Overview4) Analysis
Functional Segregation (SPM)
- The analysis of regionally specific effects uses the
general linear model to assess the differences among the
parameter estimates (specified by a contrast) by
referring to the error variance.
- Assessment is in terms of a t value for each voxel (i.e.
a SPM{t}).
- The SPM{t} is transformed to the unit normal distribution
(i.e., a normal distribution, mean=0, standard
deviation=1) to give a Gaussian field or SPM{Z}.
