Functional Integration Analyses- Eigenimages (nsi)
Functional Integration Analyses- Eigenimages (nsi)
- A Functional connectivity (covariance) matrix obtained
from a time-series of images. is subject to Principal
Component Analysis (PCA) or Singular Value Decomposition
(SVD).
- The resulting eigenimages (principal components or
spatial modes) each correspond to a spatial pattern
comprising regions that are jointly implicated by virtue
of their functional interactions. These regions represent
temporal correlations between spatially remote
neurophysiological events.
- Does not provide ability to make statistical inferences
