Patient 4
History: 69 year old male with documented non-small cell carcinoma of the lung involving right middle lobe. Pre-op for assessment of extent of disease.
Impression: Abnormal 18-FDG study demonstrating accumulation in right mid-lung, right hilum, and mediastinum consistent with regional nodal spread. Because of extensive widespread disease surgery was cancelled and the patient treated with a combination of chemo and radiation therapy.
