Motivation revisited

SPM’95 Eigenimage Analysis is geared towards identifying regions of the brain which are functionally related across a series of scans. The analysis examines the scan series and breaks the brain down into a set of basis images (eigenimages) which, when interpreted with care, can be used to identify brain regions that are related to each other across the conditions present in the scan series.
