Suppose the 1st singular value, S1,
is by far the largest and hence its
associated eigenimage explains most
of what is common among all the images.
To see the extent, (S1E1*), to which this eigenimage is
present in each individual scan, we need only examine the
temporal weight of the nth scan (nT1). If this eigenimage is
relevant to our scan conditions, its contribution to
each scan condition (nT1 values) should vary in a meaningful way
across scan conditions.
