What is PET ?
What is PET ?
- Quantitative Determination of the location of positron
emitting isotopes (hence Positron Emission).
- static isotope location (at a particular time)
- time course of isotope distribution (time series)
- Primary use is in functional imaging (hence Tomography)
because of what is labeled with these isotopes.
